Can you describe the creative process and how you landed on the notes used in the fragrance?
We wanted something familiar, something that would remind us of home (Hawaii) I think it’s a journey from the time you unbox the fragrance, to applying the product. It’s an immersive experience from the very start.
Tell us about your relationship with Hawaii. How were you able to tie in your Hawaiian roots and how important was that for you?
Everything I do is for my people and where I come from. For the ones I love. I only work for validation it seems like and knowing the ones who love you also love what you do is a good feeling. Hawaii is everything for me. Coming from such a small island but also feeling connected to the rest of the world at the same time is empowering. My inspiration is Hawaii- that is the DNA of WAHINE HONOLULU.
What do you think is so special about Hawaii?
I could go on for hours but the main thing I always revert back to when I’m explaining my favorite parts of Hawaii is the community aspect. It’s a different type of love I haven’t shared with anywhere else I’ve Been to.
You really just have to come see for yourself and hope the locals love you. ;)

What is something you can get here that you can’t get anywhere else in the world?
THE FOOOD THE TRADITIONAL WAY.
What was the inspiration behind the packaging?
It’s a play off of the plate lunch trey we all know and love. It feels right to serve it this way. I like to think it’s a cool way to feed your skin.

Can you give us some key words from the brief to create this scent?
